Stockbower Named ECAC Division III South Player of the Week
CAPE COD, Mass. - Junior Kathryn Stockbower of the Swarthmore College women's basketball team has been named the ECAC Division III South Player of the Week for the week ending December 6th, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.
The honor comes just one day after Stockbower was named the Centennial Conference Performer of the Week and first time this season and fourth time in her career.
Stockbower (Fort Washington, Pa./Upper Dublin) is coming off a remarkable week in which she averaged 23.3 points and 12.3 rebounds while scoring the 1,000th point of her career in a loss to Ursinus. In a victory at McDaniel, she scored a game-high 30 points and hit the game-winning bucket with 3.4 seconds left. Stockbower leads the Centennial Conference in scoring (23.8 ppg) and rebounding (14.2 rpg) and has recorded 48 double-doubles for her career.
The Garnet plays its final game of the semester when it travels to Washington College on Wednesday (6:00 p.m.) for a critical Centennial Conference battle.
