The honor marks the fourth time that Stockbower has been named the Centennial Conference Performer of the Week and first time this season. This is the first Performer of the Week honor for Gates and first time a member of the Swarthmore men's basketball team has been honored since Matt Kurman ‘08 was named Centennial Conference Co-Player of the Week for the week ending February 25, 2008.

Stockbower (Fort Washington, Pa./Upper Dublin) is coming off a remarkable week in which she averaged 23.3 points and 12.3 rebounds while scoring the 1,000th point of her career in a loss to Ursinus. In a victory at McDaniel, she scored a game-high 30 points and hit the game-winning bucket with 3.4 seconds left.  Stockbower leads the Centennial Conference in scoring and rebounding and has recorded 48 double-doubles for her career.

Gates scored a career-high 31 points - the most by a Garnet player since 2007.

Gates (Willseyville, N.Y./Candor Central) earned Player of the Week honors after one of the best single-game performances in recent Garnet history. Gates scored 31 points and pulled down 17 rebounds - both single-game Centennial Conference season highs for the season - with four triples, two blocked shots and  two steals in the Garnet's 74-68 upset win over Ursinus. Gates scored 22 of his points in the second half, as Swat defeated the Bears for the first time since 1997.  For the week, Gates averaged 19.0 points and 9.0 rebounds.
