Musynske Named CC Offensive Player of the Week
LANCASTER, Pa. -- Swarthmore junior attack Gavin Musynske was named the Centennial Conference Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for the week of March 30-April 5, as announced by the Conference office on April 6.
Musynske (Floral Park, N.Y. / Floral Park Memorial) scored a season-high four goals on April 4, three in the second half, to lead Swarthmore to a 7-4 win over McDaniel. Musynske leads the Garnet with 17 points (10 goals, seven assists) while ranking in the top-15 in the Centennial for both points and assists. The junior has 67 career points (38 goals, 29 assists) to lead all active Swarthmore players, including four game-winning scores in the past two seasons.
This is the second Player of the Week honor for Musynske; he received the Offensive Player of the Week on March 18, 2009. It’s the second P.O.W. honor for Swarthmore this season; senior Stelios Wilson received the honor on March 1.
Swarthmore is off to its best Conference start (3-2) since 2003, posting a 4-4 overall mark. The Garnet travel to #15 Washington College on Wednesday, April 7 before returning home.
