Garnet Men Jump Back in Top 25

SWARTHMORE, Pa. -- The Swarthmore men's soccer team is back in the NSCAA/adidas national rankings, listing as No. 25 slot, as announced on Tuesday morning.

The Garnet appear in the rankings, compiled by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, for the fourth time in 2008. (Click here for the complete poll)  The team peaked at No. 11 on September 16.

After a 3-0 win over Centennial Conference foe Franklin & Marshall on Saturday, the Garnet improved to 10-2-1 overall and 5-1 in the Conference.  The team held steady in fourth in the Middle Atlantic region behind #9 Johns Hopkins (11-2-2), #12 Messiah (10-2-2) and #19 Carnegie Mellon (11-2-1).

Swarthmore will close their regular season non-conference schedule Wednesday, October 22, hosting Immaculata at 7:00 p.m. Onn Saturday, the Garnet resume Centennial action with a 7:00 p.m. home match with McDaniel.
