Mullarkey Preps at Princeton Invitational

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. - Swarthmore junior Cait Mullarkey traveled to central New Jersey to face top-flight competition at the 2008 Princeton Invitational in preparation for this weekend's Centennial Indoor Track & Field Championships.

Mullarkey (Wilmington, Del. / Ursuline Academy) competed in theCait Mullarkey ‘09 800-meter event, finishing seventh out of 28 runners from such noteworthy programs as Princeton, Delaware, Millersville, Kutztown, Columbia and Haverford. Mullarkey, the reigning Centennial champ in the indoor 800, has fought back from recent illness and on Saturday night posted her fastest time of the season (2:19.58) on the surface at The Lawrenceville School.

Princeton’s Karen Aherne took top honors in the 800, posting a time of 2:14.62.

Mullarkey and her Garnet teammates travel northwest this weekend to take part in the 2008 Centennial Indoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Ursinus College.  For complete information concerning the championships please visit the official web site.
