Darby, Garnet Swarm Gotham

NEW YORK -- Swarthmore junior Connor Darby '09 (Nashville, Tenn. / MLK) was the among the top Division III finishers in the 1,000-meter run at the Gotham Cup hosted by NYU Invitational Friday afternoon at the NYC Armory.

Darby was the third Division III runner in the men's 1,000-meter, he finished his race at 2:38.79, 32nd overall. Alex Frye ’11 (Bourbonnais, Ill. / Bishop McNamara) also ran in the 1,000-meter with 2:46.97 race time.

Cait Mullarkey ’09 (Wilmington, Del. / Ursuline) finished eighth overall in the 800-meter with a 2:21.24 race time, she was the first Division III runner. Running in the unseeded 800-meter was Lauren Duluca ’10 (Audubon, Pa. / Kennedy-Kenrick Catholic), who finished at 2:36.65.

The indoor track team will be back in action on Jan. 25th when they travel to Ursinus for the Frank Colden Invitational, the meet starts at 4:00 p.m.
