BRYN MAWR, Pa. -- Swarthmore women's badminton picked up two individual wins at the Mid Atlantic Jr. Classic held at Bryn Mawr on Dec. 1.
Garnet standout Kim Kramer '10 won the women’s singles and doubles; she was also a semifinalist in mix doubles. It was another stellar performance by freshman Maithili Parikh, who finished the tournament as the runner-up in women’s singles and won the women’s doubles with partner Kramer. Parihk made it to the semifinals in mix doubles with partner Robert Manduca.
Both Patricia Kelly '08 and Alice Xiang '10 added to the abundance of Swarthmore women’s high ranking in this tournament with great individual performances. Kelly and Xiang had solid finishes in the tournament as semifinalists in the singles and singles B draw, respectively.
Swarthmore badminton is off for two months and will return next semester on Wednesday, February 6th at 7 pm against their rivals of Haverford.
