Fords Wash Away Tide 11-7
Haverford College (9-6, 4-4 CC) used five goals in the fourth period to down Swarthmore on Saturday afternoon 11-7 in a rainy Haverford, Pa.
The Garnet tied the game at 6-6 as tri-captain Tim Chryssikos '05 scored his 26th goal of the season, and the final score of his Swarthmore career, with 13:31 to go in the game.
The Fords ran away with the contest after that, scoring five unanswered goals to beat the Garnet for the first time since 2001.
Frank Mazzucco made 10 saves in the season finale for Swarthmore (6-8, 2-6 CC) The Garnet got goals from Chryssikos, Paul Chung '05, Adam Miller '08, Matt Perez '06, Gavin Nurick '07, tri-captain Tom Coughlin '05, and Chris Harman '08.
