NYU Downs Garnet
Franny Zhang '08 won two individual events and picked up a third victory in the 400 yard freestyle relay, as the Garnet fell to New York University 135-70 on Saturday afteroon at Ware Pool.
Zhang took first in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:15.9, and followed up two events later with a victory in the 100 yard freestyle (55.23).
The Swarthmore 400 yard freestyle relay of Jennie Lewis '08, Zhang, Whitney Nekoba '08, and Patricia Funk '06 took top honors for the third straight meet, touching the wall first with a time of 3:46.69.
The Garnet swim team (2-2 overall, 1-1 CC) has its next meet on Tuesday, November 22 in Ware Pool. The meet against Ursinus (1-2) kicks off at 6:30 p.m.
