Interesting! Do you know what the “ecosystem integrity” on those signs means?
We finished up the last class of the semester today in my climate change class by talking about pros and cons of temperature targets in general, and specifically about 1.5 C vs. 2.0 C. Looking at the required emissions scenarios, 1.5 C is really, really tough (much more so than 2.0 C, which itself is already challenging), but after last week at COP21 I understand better the political reasons for possibly setting 1.5 C as the target.
It will be interesting to see what target is in the final agreement.
Hi Eric,
The action didn’t specifically describe what the term means and from my research, there isn’t a scientific consensus on the definition. However, from my understanding, it that, broadly, it can be thought of as an ecosystem’s health. Here is some more information: http://www.encyclopedia.com/topic/Ecological_integrity.aspx
