Perhaps you\u2019re leaving the College, graduating, or maybe you\u2019re just wanting to use your data on another hosting environment. Whatever the case, you have a couple of options for how you want to handle this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are leaving the College, you can migrate your webspace from Swarthmore College to our hosting provider,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/support.reclaimhosting.com\/hc\/en-us\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Reclaim Hosting<\/a>, by completing the following steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"TransferYourWebsiteWhenYouLeavetheCollegeDomainofOne'sOwn-MigratetoReclaimHosting\">Migrate to Reclaim Hosting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Sign up for an account at Reclaim Hosting. You can navigate directly to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/portal.reclaimhosting.com\/cart.php?a=add&amp;pid=2\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Student\/Personal Hosting<\/a>&nbsp;plan option.<\/li><li>If you already have a top-level domain (i.e.&nbsp;yourdomain.com) choose the&nbsp;<em>I will use my existing domain and update my nameservers<\/em>&nbsp;option.<\/li><li>If your current website content exists on a subdomain (i.e.&nbsp;yourwebsite.domains.swarthmore.edu), select the&nbsp;<em>Register a New Domain&nbsp;<\/em>or the&nbsp;<em>Use a subdomain from Reclaim Hosting&nbsp;<\/em>option.<\/li><li>Enter a new top-level domain name if applicable.<\/li><li>Complete the sign-up process\/pay invoice. If you choose the Student\/Individual Plan, your invoice total should be $30.00&nbsp;<em>without<\/em>&nbsp;a domain registration, or $45.00&nbsp;<em>with<\/em>&nbsp;a domain registration.<\/li><li>Send a support request to&nbsp;<em><a href=\"mailto:support@reclaimhosting.com\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">support@reclaimhosting.com<\/a><\/em>&nbsp;with the following message:<br><em>Hello Reclaim Hosting Support,<br>I am graduating from (your school) and I would like to migrate my account, (your domain), to Reclaim Hosting. Please let me know if you need anything else from me.<br>Best,<br>(Your Name)<\/em><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>A member of Reclaim Hosting support will respond &amp; help you get your account migrated as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"TransferYourWebsiteWhenYouLeavetheCollegeDomainofOne'sOwn-MigratingYourDomainElsewhere\">Migrating Your Domain Elsewhere<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you would like to move your website to a third-party service, you\u2019ll want to capture a backup of your site. From there you\u2019ll be able to import the backup into a handful of other web hosting services. In order to migrate your site elsewhere, complete the following steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/community.reclaimhosting.com\/t\/generating-a-backup\/293\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Generate a full backup of your account<\/a>.<\/li><li>If you have a top-level domain (i.e.&nbsp;yourdomain.com), send a request to the Domain of One\u2019s Own support team at your school asking them to unlock your domain, turn privacy protect off, and send you the transfer EPP code. These three items are required in order to initiate a successful domain transfer.<\/li><li>Next, follow the instructions provided by your new hosting platform on transferring domains\/migrating websites.
