Earlier this month, Turnitin released its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.turnitin.com\/solutions\/ai-writing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AI writing detection tool<\/a> designed to help determine whether AI writing tools such as ChatGPT have been used in students\u2019 writing assignments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Use Turnitin&#8217;s AI Detection Tool<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The AI detection tool appears once you click on the student&#8217;s submission and open the Similarity Report. You can read more about <a href=\"https:\/\/help.turnitin.com\/ai-writing-detection.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Turnitin&#8217;s AI writing detection capabilities<\/a> on their website. There are many workarounds to outsmart AI detection tools. When using the new AI feature, Turnitin displays a note that reads, <em>Caution: Percentage may not indicate academic misconduct.
