The Provost\u2019s office, in partnership with ITS, would like to pilot a workshop opportunity for faculty to learn more about developing interactive teaching approaches for flexible learning spaces on campus.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

Several Swarthmore faculty have participated in discipline-specific workshops for student-centered curriculum development (e.g, the HHMI Summer Institutes<\/a>.) Such workshops typically last for 2 or more days. A main objective of the workshops is to provide a significant amount of time for participants to create and\/or modify teaching materials, with guidance from experienced faculty leading the workshop, and with feedback from other participants.<\/p>\n

The goal is for the new materials to be ready for use at the end of the workshop. Often teams of multiple participants from a department are encouraged to attend together so as to give each other expert disciplinary feedback on their work.<\/p>\n
