Use Grackle to make sure there aren&#8217;t any barriers in the document<\/p>\n<p>Need to create an accessible PDF from a Google document? Grackle can do that too.<\/p>\n<p>My focus today is primarily with Google Docs but the process is pretty much the same for all document types<\/p>\n<h2>Getting it<\/h2>\n<p>If you don\u2019t already have it, install it:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Login to your Google account<\/li>\n<li>Go to Add-ons (located in the top menu) &gt;\u00a0Get Add-ons<\/li>\n<li>Search for Grackle\n<ul>\n<li>If you are in docs, choose \u201cGrackle Docs<\/li>\n<li>If you are in slides, choose \u201cGrackle Slides<\/li>\n<li>If you are in sheets, choose \u201cGrackle Sheets\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Agree to the scary stuff &#8211;\u00a0 ITS has verified that it is safe to agree to the permissions Grackle is asking for.<\/li>\n<li>Once it is installed in one, its installed in all<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Making it work<\/h2>\n<p>It\u2019s simple:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open a doc, slide or presentation<\/li>\n<li>Go to \u00a0Add-ons.<\/li>\n<li>Launch Grackle and make the fixes<\/li>\n<li>Boom! \u00a0Accessibility is in place<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\ufeff Grackle is an awesome plugin which works in conjunction with the Google suite of documents: Docs, Sheets and Slides.
