Available to faculty, staff, and students, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.epiloglaser.com\/products\/fusion-laser-series.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Epilog Fusion 40 laser<\/a> can cut a wide variety of materials including wood, acrylic, and cardboard as well as being able to engrave anodized aluminum, glass, and plastics. \u00a0The maximum cutting size of 40&#8243; x 28&#8243; allows working with\u00a0large pieces of material.<\/p>\n<p>The laser cutter joins a 3D printer and large-format poster printer to enhance\u00a0ITS&#8217;s fabrication capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>To learn more about the capabilities of the laser cutter please get in touch with Academic Technologists\u00a0Doug Willen (dwillen1), or Andrew Ruether (aruethe2).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This summer, ITS installed a new laser cutter in the Engineering shop in Papazian.
