{"id":2124,"date":"2013-05-24T13:54:56","date_gmt":"2013-05-24T13:54:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.swarthmore.edu\/its\/?p=2124"},"modified":"2017-06-19T18:03:14","modified_gmt":"2017-06-19T18:03:14","slug":"moodle-2-upgrade-this-summer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.swarthmore.edu\/its\/2013\/05\/24\/moodle-2-upgrade-this-summer\/","title":{"rendered":"Moodle 2 Upgrade This Summer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ITS will be upgrading our Moodle site to Moodle 2 this summer. \u00a0There are many improvements in Moodle 2 that make creating and updating a course easier. \u00a0Among the updates are the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 14px\">Drag and drop file uploads<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Conditional access: automatically make resources and activities visible after a specified date or to specified users.<\/li>\n<li>Quick edit of resource and activity titles from the front page<\/li>\n<li>More display options, including collapsable topics or week sections<\/li>\n<li>Design and layout improvements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We will continue to keep past courses in Moodle so that you will be able to access materials from previous years after the upgrade. \u00a0We will distribute a guide to the new version of Moodle in July and hold training courses in August.<\/p>\n<p>The upgrade is scheduled for July 14, 2013.
