Moodle Now Knows"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>ITS has introduced a new Moodle feature that assigns students and community members who are auditing a course the <strong>Auditor<\/strong> role. This role does not include a gradebook entry, making it easier for instructors to quickly distinguish between students taking a course for a grade and those auditing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students officially enrolled as auditors through the Registrar\u2019s Office will now automatically appear in Moodle with the <strong>Auditor<\/strong> role. Previously, auditors were assigned the standard <strong>Registered Student<\/strong> role, which made them indistinguishable from graded students in the course roster and gradebook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Need to assign grades to an auditor?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If an auditing student requires a gradebook entry, instructors can manually assign the <strong>Student<\/strong> role in addition t<em>o<\/em> the <strong>Auditor<\/strong> role.
