of Student Engagement Items"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I finally had the chance to revisit an <a title=\"Visualizing Survey Results: Class Discussion by Class Year\" href=\"https:\/\/blogs.swarthmore.edu\/institutional-research\/?p=686\">earlier post<\/a> where I created a <a title=\"ggplot2 fluctuation plots\" href=\"http:\/\/had.co.nz\/ggplot\/plot-templates.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">fluctuation plot<\/a> for a recent survey item about the frequency of class discussion. \u00a0This item is a part of an array\u00a0of items that asks about the frequency (using the familiar &#8220;Rarely or never-Occasionally-Often-Very often&#8221; scale) during the academic year of a variety of activities often associated with student engagement. \u00a0I created fluctuation plots for the whole set of items and put them into the photo gallery below. \u00a0Like the plot from the previous post, these show the percentage of responses by category, by class year. \u00a0Click anywhere on the gallery image below and you can use the arrows to flip through the items.
