Apparently we don’t do it; I gather that you’re right that Williams doesn’t do it, either. I’ll see if I can find something that’s “official” or fully sourced on this issue.

Here at Notre Dame, you have to “donate” a nominal amount in order to be entered into the lottery for buying football tickets. Needless to say, we have a very nice alumni giving rate.
