But the show has a global reach as well, with more than thirty co-productions of\u00a0Sesame Street\u00a0that are viewed in over 150 countries. In recent years, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has provided funding to the New York-based Sesame Workshop to create international versions of\u00a0Sesame Street.<\/p>\n<p class=\"N-ZiCg direction-ltr align-end para-style-body\">At this talk, Dr. Naomi Moland will discuss\u00a0her new book,\u00a0Can Big Bird Fight Terrorism?\u00a0which looks at the\u00a0Nigerian version,\u00a0Sesame Square, which began airing in 2011. The show\u00a0 seeks\u00a0to promote peaceful coexistence in Nigeria,\u00a0where segregation, state fragility, and escalating conflict raise the stakes of peacebuilding efforts.
