Madge, what is that cool and freaky looking thing in the second photograph there?

I love the way sitting in the woods give me time and space to think too. I was interrupted twice today when I was observing and photographing my surroundings, as strangers walked through the woods and past me. At the crunch of their footsteps, I felt my body tense up and jump a little, even though I knew it was probably just human presence. How odd it is how much I let my guard down with no one else around–and how nice it is to be so relaxed alone, under the filtered sun and the trees’ shadows.

Is that a huge bee’s nest?! I hope it wasn’t occupied for your sake!

I like the break in your narrative when you turned your phone off. I appreciate the small moment you took to remove yourself from constant connection to human/technology so you could more easily enjoy the small sounds you heard around you. Your imagery is so precise that I can practically see what you saw! Beautiful.
