Life on the border is not like a war zone, but it is not 100 percent safe. Neither one of people of right, but most of us normal people think that it is going to get worse. Just look at our local news... drug chases, drug busts, drive bys, murders, kidnappings, human smuggling, and illegals all over....... Tell me if this is normal?

Genealogical Item on Diaz Barriga.

This message is for Mr. Miguel Diaz Barriga. It refers to the possibility that his family origin be from the State of Michoacan, in Mexico. My grandfather was born in Michoacan in the XIX Century, and died in 1909. His parents' last names were Diaz Barriga, my greatgrandfather; and Moreira, my greatgrandmother. My grandfather wound up using a different last name: Ponce, which is my middle name.

If it is of any interest to you, I would be very glad to locate at home a photo depicting my great grandparents, my grandfather and the rest of the family, circa 1880. I am a U.S. Citizen who was born in Mexico City in 1931, living since 1996 in the City of San Juan, TX. just south of Edinburg, TX.

I was just watching the news and Richard Fisher the Dallas Federal Reserve president was talking about Texas being the state with more job creation. Is it just Texas great administration or the hundreds of investor visas granted to Elite Mexicans that at least bring 500k to open business and create jobs.

The Boarder should be strictly implemented as always, since many of the Mexicans are trying to pass the boarder, but to those who can legally pass through the boarder should have an easy access while maintaining a highly secured passing check.
