Langley Named Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week for Second Time

LANCASTER, Pa. - Senior Morgan Langley of the No. 4/5 Swarthmore College men’s soccer team has been named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending September 25, the conference announced on Monday afternoon.

The award marks the second time this season that Langley has been named the offensive player of the week, the first coming in the week ending September 5.

Langley continued his torrid start to the 2010 season, recording two goals and two assists to lead the Garnet to an unbeaten week. Against Arcadia, Langley scored the first of Swarthmore's three goals and assisted in another as part of the Garnet's comeback win over the Knights. In a win over Dickinson, he set up the game-winner in the 87th minute while sealing it with a goal of his own in the 89th minute. The senior currently tied for the national lead in assists (9) and assists per game (1.17) and recently broke the Swarthmore career (20) and single-season (9) assist records.

The Garnet return to action on Wednesday with a trip to Washington College. Action is slated to begin at 7:00 p.m.
