LANCASTER, Pa. -- Swarthmore senior Kevin Shaughnessy and freshman Zak Kelm were named first-team All-Centennial Conference for men's tennis, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.

The Swarthmore tandems’ season was highlighted by victories over the All-American pairs from Johns Hopkins and Haverford.

This marks the second time Shaughnessy (left) has been honored the Conference for his doubles play; in 2008 he was a first-team selection with partner Jonathan Lo ’08.  Shaughnessy, a senior captain, finished out his career undefeated in regular season conference doubles matches in the two years he competed in the Centennial Conference.mten_unknown_forehand_09

Swarthmore will host Centennial Conference playoff action this weekend, taking on Haverford on Friday, May 1st at 3:00 p.m.  The winner will advance to the Centennial Championship match at Johns Hopkins University on Sunday, May 3 at 11:00 a.m.
