Garnet Tennis Duo Named All-Centennial

LANCASTER, Pa. - Swarthmore senior Jonathan Lo and junior Kevin Shaughnessy were named First-Team All-Centennial in men's tennis, as announced by the Conference office Tuesday. Lo was selected for singles' play and teamed with Shaughnessy to earn doubles' honors.

The two Swarthmore men are receiving the first Centennial honors by a Swarthmore male. The Garnet made their debut in the Centennial Conference this season after 23 years as an independent.

Lo (Honolulu, Hawaii / Iolaui School), the 07-08 team captain, was 3-3 during Centennial singles’ play this season at No.1 and concludes his career at Swarthmore with 26 victories.

Shaughnessy (South Kingstown, R.I. / South Kingstown) and Lo combined to complete the Centennial regular season undefeated at No. 1 doubles with a record of 8-0 (9-7 overall).

Swarthmore, ranked 13th in the Atlantic South region, completed the season with a 7-10 overall record (7-2 in Centennial play).
