rebounds, 3.4 blocks and 2.7 assists per game while shooting 61.5% (16 for 26) from 3-point land. He currently leads the Centennial Conference in rebounds per game (11.0 in Conference play) and ranks second in scoring (21.4 points per game), 3-point field goal percentage (48.5%) and blocks (3.42 per game). Ian McCormick ‘08McCormick has appeared in 93 games at Swarthmore, making 83 starts. Arguably the best post player to ever wear a Garnet uniform, McCormick needs one more point to become the first male player in school history to accumulate 1,400 points and 700 rebounds in a career. He holds the school record for career blocks (180) and blocks in a season (58), while needing just 35 more rebounds to own a share of the program rebounding record (768 held by Rob Ruffin ’92).

This is the fourth honor of the season for McCormick; he was twice named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week (Nov. 28, Jan. 22) and received Centennial Conference Player of the Week on Nov. 26.

The Cozen Award is named in honor of legendary Drexel and Overbrook High head men’s basketball coach Sam Cozen. While at Drexel, Cozen boasted a 213-94 record, while winning 11 Middle Atlantic Conference Championships and making four NCAA appearances. Cozen's college coaching career overlapped for two years with his tenure at Overbrook (1947-54), where he captured five Philadelphia Public League championships while directing legendary players such as Wilt Chamberlain and Hal Lear.

Swarthmore (5-14 overall, 1-11 Centennial) returns home to Tarble Pavilion to face Dickinson College on Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 7:30 p.m.
